President Trump is demanding an apology from the bishop who counseled him to "have mercy" on migrants and other groups targeted by the new administration. At 1:00AM the president took to social media and in a lengthy post he called the bishop's comments nasty and inappropriate. Now, the bishop is taking to the airwaves with her response. And it's an inauguration ball tradition: members of the military cutting in to dance with the president and vice president and their spouses. But how do they decide who gets the honor? Ann Mercogliano spoke exclusively with the sergeant who was chosen to dance with the first lady. Plus, polar vortex, Siberian express, whatever you want to call it - it's cold pretty much everywhere. In Florida and the Gulf Coast, here's a word you don’t get to use very much: snow! And at a time when weather is the lead story, scores of TV meteorologists are out of a job. One hundred of them who work for the same station group were all fired yesterday to be replaced by forecasters from the weather channel. The second presidency of Donald Trump ended its first night in a wave of glamour. The president and first lady attended three inaugural balls and there was this charming moment when members of the military cut in to dance with them. And, candidate Trump promised immediate change if elected - and today he made good on that with more than 1,000 Biden era appointees being shown the door. Plus, in his first hours as president, Trump also made good on his pledge to release those convicted of crimes connected with the January 6th Capitol riot. Outside the Washington jail where many are being held, it was a celebratory scene. And, with the cold wave that's gripping so much of the country, there are plenty of warnings about avoiding frostbite by covering exposed skin outside. There's also a risk for exposed skin indoors. Donald Trump was sworn in as our 47th president, pledging to put America first every day he is in office. For the first time in four decades, the inauguration was indoors. President Trump says he made the call because of the frigid temperatures, and while it may have been much smaller in scale, the majesty of the Capitol Rotunda made up for it. And due to the freezing weather the president and first lady will attend an indoor rally instead of the traditional parade, and tonight they will dance at a number of inaugural balls. It all started off with the big “make America great again” victory rally featuring the president-elect and the Village People whose song, "YMCA" has been Trump's theme song on the campaign trail. Plus, President Trump promised a host of actions immediately after taking office - on immigration, closing the border with Mexico, and renaming the body of water to the west of Florida. Trump wants to call it “The Gulf of America.” And at least 15,000 structures have been destroyed in the LA fires, and today we're learning among the buildings that went up in flames are some banks where Jim Moret reports it seems the safe deposit boxes aren't always so safe. American tourists vacationing in the Caribbean looked up and saw something incredible - colorful streams of fire flying through the sky. Some even wondered if it was an alien invasion. Turns out it was debris from Elon Musk's failed Space X launch falling to Earth. Wendy Williams is on a media blitz. The former TV personality, who was declared permanently disabled by her court appointed guardian, wants the world to know she feels like she's in prison. She's currently in a New York City facility where she says she's not free to come and go or receive telephone calls. And there's been anger during the LA fires at State Farm Insurance after it was revealed that last year, they had dropped policies for a large number of California property owners. Now comes this - State Farm just canceled their planned Super Bowl commercial - a follow up to last year's ad featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito that was voted most popular. Plus, watch out Elon Musk - Jeff Bezos just launched his first successful rocket! But Musk, who owns competitor Space X, is actually sending congratulations. All this comes as President Biden appears to take a swipe at Musk and Bezos in his farewell speech to America. And you know how a lot of the stuff you need at the store is locked up? Well, maybe they will soon be freed. A Los Angeles homeowner has spray painted a sign with a loud and clear message: Looters will be shot. With the LAPD announcing they've made 40 arrests during the fires for burglary and other crimes, citizens are taking action themselves - confronting anyone they don't recognize in their neighborhoods in case they are even thinking of looting the burnt-out properties. And in the middle of the devastating fires, some people are actually starting new blazes, diverting the already over extended firefighters. California has been dealing with an arson crime wave with 150 arrests made last year alone. Plus, it's called the Trump shuffle - the dance moves President-elect Trump has been doing on the campaign trail to The Village People classic ‘YMCA.’ Now the group is confirming they will actually perform the song at a ball during next week's inauguration - just one of the surprises in store.  And a flight attendant was having fun taking a selfie video twerking on a plane in her uniform, but when she posted it, her bosses apparently weren't impressed and she says she was fired. One week after the devastating wildfires broke out, Los Angeles is on high alert today. According to the National Weather Service, expected high winds could cause “explosive fire growth.” And now comes this - police have just released mug shots of suspects accused of looting and other crimes during the fires. And even those who haven't lost their homes in the flames are facing a danger they may not be aware of… toxic air. Buildings not burnt to a crisp are filled with toxic fumes that could be harmful. Plus, President-elect Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama shared a chummy moment at former President Jimmy Carter's funeral. And next Monday the two will meet again when Trump is sworn in as our 47th president. But as she did with the Carter funeral, Michelle Obama announced today she won't be attending. And Princess Kate is making a big announcement - she's now in remission from cancer. With more strong winds in the forecast for the next three days, firefighters are bracing for even more challenges. All of the more than 32 hundred Los Angeles Fire Department personnel are on the front lines, and they are over extended, but there's another option that's causing some controversy. Some wealthy homeowners are actually hiring private firefighters to fight the blaze.  And a man returns to his burnt out home looking for his little dog named Oreo. Then as cameras are rolling, the pooch comes running down the driveway for an emotional reunion.  Plus, next week Donald Trump will be sworn in as our 47th president and today it was announced none other than Carrie Underwood will sing ‘The America The Beautiful’. She's the biggest singer to throw her support behind Trump and says she's honored to get the call.  And it's a toy that flew off the shelves this holiday season... a squishy toy kids can't get enough of. Now, comes a warning... don't heat them up in the microwave! Two sisters did just that with disastrous results.
