In episode 49 of the Desire To Trade Podcast, I interview Patrick James, a charisma expert who shares his best advice on crushing it in life.

The interview started with an off-topic conversation about charisma. Then, Patrick mentioned the book Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz.

Psycho-Cybernetics is all about self-image. According to Maltz, "you will act like the sort of person you conceive yourself to be."

If you want to ensure you succeed in trading over the long-term, you must not only understand how to trade, but also how to manage yourself. That starts with talking to yourself positively. Affirmations are a great way to change the view you have of yourself. Another very practical advice Patrick proposes is concerns the speed of implementation.

You must decide to take control of your self image, and then decide what you want it to be.
