Bryan Kohberger confessed to the horrific November 13, 2022 stabbings of four University of Idaho students and plead guilty on July 2, 2025, to avoid the death penalty. He will now face four consecutive life sentences plus ten years and has given up his right to appeal. Evidence against him included DNA on a recovered knife sheath, phone data, and surveillance footage.

Ethan Chapin: A 20- year-old from Conway, Washington who was staying with his girlfriend, Xana Kernodle, the night of the murder. Ethan was a triplet.

Kaylee Goncalves: A 21-year-old from Rathdrum, Idaho who was murdered in her home next to her best friend, Maddie.

Xana Kernodle: A 20-year-old from Avondale, Arizona, who later lived in Post Falls, Idaho. She was murdered at her home with her close friends and boyfriend.

Madison Mogen: A 21-year-old from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho who many believe was the intended target. Maddie was murdered next to her childhood best friend, Kaylee.
