PP3 Episode 19: Featuring Logan Stankoven

In this week's episode of the PP3 Podcast, the boys dive into and give their predictions on a revamped and exciting NHL Eastern Conference, Mitch Marner's expected play under Craig Berube, the Sharks' new 1-2 punch with Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith, and visors being back in the Jungle.

The boys open up Season 2 with NHL top prospect and Kamloops, BC native Logan Stankoven (*46:55*). The Dallas Stars' 47th overall pick in 2021 has caught the attention of scouts and fans across the hockey world. Logan registered 323 points in 215 games over his 4-year tenure with his hometown Kamloops Blazers, where he captained the team for his final two years. Last year, "The Stank" recorded 57 points in 47 AHL games with the Texas Stars and 14 points in his first 24 games in the NHL, including 8 points in the postseason. Logan's impressive first year of pro hockey earned him AHL Rookie of the Year and 1st Team AHL All-Star honours.

We ask Logan about his days with Yale Hockey Academy, getting kicked out of a game for the first time with the Thompson Blazers, hosting the Memorial Cup with the Kamloops Blazers, winning back-to-back gold medals in the World Junior Championship (including assisting on the 2021 gold medal goal), and his early days of playing pro hockey in the state of Texas.
