What MDMA Therapy Really Feels Like - From a Patient’s Perspective (Feat. Regan Ballantine) #616

What MDMA Therapy Really Feels Like - From a Patient’s Perspective (Feat. Regan Ballantine) #616

LIMITED TIME ONLY: I’m delighted to offer you a discount for the Health Optimisation Summit in London.

I’ll be back as MC this year, and you can use code TONY for 10% off your ticket.

It’s the best health and biohacking event in Europe. See you there in September.

Regan Ballantine’s life changed forever after the tragic loss of her son.

She tried everything to recover from Complex PTSD, but nothing brought the deeper healing she needed.

Then she became one of the first Australians to try MDMA-assisted therapy.

The results were really profound.

Biohackers pride themselves on exploring the edges of science. And this is a powerful, grounded look at a treatment that’s still emerging, but might just change everything we think we know about therapy.

Regan Ballantine is an OG biohacker who I have known for many years, and I am so grateful to her for coming on to share her story. Follow her totally new account on instagram here, she will undoubtedly change many lives with her incredible work.

THIS SHOW IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY:

🍊 The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k - Sarah Knight #48

🍊 The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k - Sarah Knight #48

Are you overextended and overburdened by life? Are you stressed out, anxious, maybe even panic-stricken about your commitments? If so, you might feel quite liberated by The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k I’m with Sarah Knight on the podcast Zestology this week. Sarah was almost 30 years old when she began to realise it was possible to stop caring so much, but was nearly 40 before she figured out how to make it happen. Now she’s written a uplifting and enjoyable book about it, and she’s on a mission to make all of us care a little bit less. That’s me too. I could definitely do with caring a bit less about stuff, and so when I heard about her book we connected on Twitter and set up a fun chat. When you hear what she's got planned for the next stage of her life - inspired by the book - you may well be jel. In today's show, we cover giving up one's job and starting again, planning more low-maintenance weddings and the country Iceland... she doesn't give a monkeys about that either. (Not sure about this one - I love Iceland! :) Nevertheless, it is very liberating not caring so much about stuff. I'm interested, which is why I wanted to know more. And how...

When was the last time you truly got outside your comfort zone or just went on a new adventure? How did you feel during it? (Probably a bit terrified.) And afterwards? (Probably a bit awesome.) Today's blog and podcast is looks at getting outside your comfort zone. (If you'd like to see a video of me getting outside my comfort zone on a hoverboard, scroll down to the bottom of this blog.) Derek Loudermilk is a former professional cyclist and scientist turned full-time traveler and adventurer. He hosts one of the top rated self-help podcasts, The Art of Adventure and he's with me today on Zestology.  On this show. What would life be like if you upped sticks and travelled round the world recording podcasts indefinitely? (Not that I'm jel!) How might you use adventure for creativity, confidence, and storytelling? What is the science behind how to get more charisma? What is a simple tip you can use right now to become more charismatic and effective as a communicator? Derek and I recorded a double-header podcast over two hours. The first hour I interviewed him for Zestology. The second hour, he interviewed me for his podcast The Art of Adventure. If you want to head straight over and listen to that one then you can click here.

Find an extra 5%, perform better, and learn the scary truth about dry cleaning with health journalist Laura Bond #46

Find an extra 5%, perform better, and learn the scary truth about dry cleaning with health journalist Laura Bond #46

What small little changes could you make to up your game? What simple lifestyle practices could you use right now to increase your performance levels? How could you find an extra 5% and feel awesome every day? Today's Zestology guest is a favourite of mine and a fave on the podcast too, Laura Bond. Laura is a health journalist and health coach, and her techniques are cutting edge and fascinating... vitamin C injections, coffee enemas and infrared saunas are par for the course. Last time we spoke we looked a lot at alternative solutions for better health. This time we look more at the practices you can use to take an already happy and fulfilled life to a new level - finding that extra 5%. Her book and articles are like a guidebook for anyone who wants to find the edge and take their performance levels up a notch. In addition, she's had a crazy 7 or 8 months since we last met, so there was a lot to catch up on. We walked through Soho and recorded as we walked, ending up sitting on a park bench in Golden Square alongside the pigeons, it was, as always with Laura, a lovely and inspiring day. Also coming up, we road-test 'hypertonic drinks' (and accidentally spill them on my trousers - sad times.) Today's podcast is for anyone who's interested in ideas for boosting their energy, vitality and health. Laura's particularly well informed, and her journey since we last spoke is a must listen. Also, 'pets with boobs' make an appearance in today's podcast, and this scary prospect alone should be enough to make you listen. Connecting to nature with endurance athlete and performance coach Anna-Marie Watson #45

Connecting to nature with endurance athlete and performance coach Anna-Marie Watson #45

An outstanding performance coach and endurance athlete featured this week. This podcast is all about connecting with nature, and getting out into the great outdoors, even when it’s very cold, or very hot. (Note if you are currently enduring a Northern Hemisphere winter, this is a good one for you.) Endurance athlete and performance coach Anna-Marie Watson has an extraordinary love of the great outdoors. She's completed arctic warfare training with the british military, scaled mountains in Nepal, and last year came second female in the Marathon des Sables, ranked as “toughest footrace on earth”. It's basically six days of running across the Sahara Desert. (I know - sounds horrible!) But what can we learn from her experience, and what does she work on with her clients?
