Joe’s just back from a holiday in Pembrokeshire, so he tells David about what he got up to. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great but he did bump into comedian Paul F. Taylor, which was nice. And they discuss why they both always imaging living in the different holiday destinations that they visit. Joe also got stuck in a huge traffic jam on his way home, which may have tarnished his memory of the holiday - along with having to clear up the AirBnB at the end. Then, as David’s no longer moving, a home extension is on the cards at the Earl household. So there’s plenty more for them to discuss as Joe’s already been through the process. But they’re both worried this might be a really boring chat to listen to? Plus, news of a potential new Friday Treat episode about bunking off excuses. We’re not gonna lie, it’s a haphazard start to the opening of the show. But once things have settled down, Joe and David start chatting about house extensions and how much hassle they may or may not be to organise. Which leads onto David recounting his rather stressful visit to a bathroom showroom recently with his family. Let’s just say the whole experience left him a little despondent. It’s the first time that the guys have spoken since David did his best man speech, and Joe’s really keen to find out how things went. But first they need to get some tech issues sorted, discuss a few ailments and have a look at the special running shoes Joe wears because of his ‘blocky’ feet. David’s just been to see one of his favourite bands The National, who were performing a concert at the Eden Project in Cornwall. He was shattered for the whole evening and had a weary drive there and back, but loved every minute of the show. Well, those minutes that he actually stayed for, as he may of may not have made it to the end? The concert got him thinking about what it’s like being 50 and playing in a band for a living - and also that their drummer looks a lot like Joe.
