Episode 30: Victor Osimhen hits 6 goals in last 4 games while Onuachu reaches 11 for the season after hat-trick

In this episode of the podcast, I ran through how our Super Eagles players performed in the top European leagues over the weekend including Victor Osimhen continuing his excellent form with another brace on Thursday in Napoli’s 4-0 win against Sampdoria before firing in another against Cagliari in a 2-0 victory on Sunday to take his tally to 6 goals over the past 4 games as Napoli maintain their 100% record in Serie A so far this season.

Paul Onuachu has also picked up impressively from where he left off last season scoring a brace on Thursday away to Royal Antwerp and a hat-trick on Sunday against RFC Seraing to take his tally to 11 goals for the season so far!

Moses Simon also continues to be the chief creator in Ligue 1 notching yet another assist over the past week in Nantes 3-1 mid-week win over Brest to reach 6 assists for the league campaign while also scoring his 1st league goal of the season in Nantes’s 3-1 loss away to Reims on Sunday. Samuel Kalu also scored his 1st Ligue 1 goal of the season over the past week while Terem Moffi’s Lorient are up to 6th after beating high-flying Nice 1-0 at home on Wednesday before securing a credible 1-1 draw away to Lyon over the weekend

Joe Aribo scored the winner for Rangers in their league fixture away to Dundee over the weekend, with fellow Nigerians Leon Balogun & Calvin Bassey also starting for the Scottish champions while Cyriel Dessers scored his 2nd goal of the season for Feyenoord as they romped to an impressive 5-3 win at home against NEC on Saturday in the Dutch Eredivisie

In international news, the Super Falcons lost 4-2 to South Africa in the final game of the Aisha Buhari Cup and the Super Eagles squad list for our double header World Cup qualification games against Central African Republic should be announced this week
