Of the various Dark Wizards that have stained Wizarding History, very few have been able to perform the most sadistic of magical rituals: Horcrux creation. In fact, of the long list of dark wizards that have plagued the Wizarding World at large, only 2 or 3 names are known to have successfully created Horcruxes.
