21. nafs an narratives

There’s a strange thing about 2:14 AM, The world outside sleeps. But inside you… something wakes up. A guilt. A memory. A name. Or maybe, just the sound of your own silence. And you wonder… Is it too late to come back to God? Even if you’re the one who left?”

Hanan’s story is a metaphor for the silent self-judgment many Muslim women live with. She’s not doing anything outwardly scandalous. She’s just tired. Spiritually tired. The kind of exhaustion that comes from trying to be good, failing — and then punishing yourself internally over and over again.
