僕は音楽が好きです。最近、ピアノの練習を始めました。

I like music. Recently, I started practicing the piano.

もともと歌うことはとても好きで、高校生の時は毎日のようにカラオケに行っていました。

でも、楽譜は読めないし、楽器も弾けません。

I have always loved to sing, and when I was in high school, I used to go to karaoke every day.

But I can't read music, and I can't play an instrument.

2年前に、絵を描き始めました。今まで自分が挑戦してこなかったことにトライしようと思って、

苦手で興味もなかった絵描きを始めました。

Two years ago, I started drawing pictures. I thought I'd try something I'd never tried before.

I started painting, which I was not good at and had no interest in.

そのときに思ったことは、論理的に考えれば、必ず上手になれるということです。

また、楽しんで練習をすれば上達するという点で、語学学習ともとても似ていると思いました。

What I thought at that time was that if you think logically, you can always become good at it.

I also thought it was very similar to learning a language in that if you enjoy practicing, you will improve.

今回のピアノも同じ考え方です。論理的に考えて楽しもうと思っています。

そうすると一週間である程度上手になりました。

The same concept applies to the piano this time. I'm trying to think logically and enjoy it.

In this way, I became somewhat proficient in a week.
