South Koreans Just Said Fuck No To Authoritarianism. Would We Say The Same?
They've only been a democracy since the late 1980's. Their President two nights ago declared martial law, and the military was sent out to the streets and surrounded the parliament. But the South Korean people and the members of the Assembly took to the streets too. And said no. And martial law was lifted. Democracy, for now held. The One Week ALL Americans Were United
There was a period there, for a few days after January 6th, when EVERY American was united and felt the exact same. This is bad, this is way too far. And then…slowly but quickly, we sank back into our divide.
