Family, this conversation had me smiling, tearing up, and nodding my head the whole way through. I had the joy of sitting down with Shani McKoy—a Jersey girl who thought she was headed for Hollywood, but God had bigger plans. Instead of scripts on a stage, He handed her the script of her life: to lead women into truth, resilience, and purpose.

Shani opened up about the raw grief of losing her father just three months into ministry, and how that season forced her to cling to God in a deeper way. She shared how resilience is forged in adversity, what it means to live a life of daily obedience, and why success isn’t measured by applause or titles—but by faithfulness to God.

She emphasizes abstinence, self-worth, and spiritual growth, helping women understand that finding their purpose first is key before seeking a relationship. Shani believes that when she aligns with God’s plan rather than societal expectations, she positions herself for the life He truly desires for her.

Through Shanispeaksup, Shani has been blessed to impact countless women, encouraging them in faithful living, obedience, and spiritual empowerment. It hasn’t always been easy, but she’s learned that true success isn’t about striving—it’s about surrendering to God’s will and trusting Him in every season.

Now, Shani is focusing on Dreamscripted Podcast, a space where faith and purpose collide. This podcast is about helping people script the life God has written for them, rather than the one they’ve been pressured to create for themselves. Dreamscripted is about saying yes to God’s vision, even when it looks different from what she imagined. Through deep conversations and real-life testimonies, Shani wants to help others see that God’s script is always better than our own.
