David’s in the beautiful city of Bath for a few days, to scout for a potential new home - so Joe join’s him on Zoom while he has a drive around. With eight house viewings already booked in, David also wants to see some sights and get a feel for the place that he’s rapidly falling in love with. It just so happens that where David is starting off is right near Joe’s mother-in-law’s house, and also where his favourite place in Bath is. So they make sure to include those destinations on the journey. In some very exciting news, David’s bought a cold tub and of course Joe wants him to get into it on the pod. It’s another electric start to the show with the guys both pumped and ready for action. Not really - this is Monday morning podding after all. Once they eventually wake up and have a chat about their weekends, David reveals that he’s bought a hamster for his son. But unfortunately, he’s already worrying about it dying. So Joe tells him about the sickly dog his family had when he was growing up. It just so happens that David’s really thinking about getting a dog at the moment, so he asks Joe loads of questions about what it’s like to look after one. They don’t quite see eye to eye on the matter and decide to way up the pros and cons - with the picking up of its shit seemingly of primary concern. David’s going to the dentist for a filling and is pretty anxious about it as he hasn’t been for ages. So it’s an obvious opportunity to document the whole experience on the pod - this is Chatabix after all. Speaking to Joe beforehand, David’s a little high on nerves and distracts himself by singing some old songs and finding out about the hernia operation Joe had years ago. And they continue the chat as David leaves home and drives to the surgery, in spite of some pretty terrible Wi-Fi. Then finally, with the procedure complete and his mouth still a little numb, David gives Joe a full debrief - and what a brave boy he’s been.
