134. THE MOUNTAIN GOATS' JON WURSTER REVEALS THE FULL STORY BEHIND THE LIVE ALBUMS THAT SHAPED HIM

Ever wondered what the hell Bob Mould, The Mountain Goats, Superchunk, Tom Scharpling, The Pretenders, Jay Farrar, Katy Perry, The New Pornographers, Margaret Cho, Rocket From The Crypt, Aimee Mann, Dave Grohl, Nick Cave, Guided By Voices, & R.E.M. could possibly have in common?

His name is Jon Wurster. To paraphrase Public Enemy: “Sound of the funny drummer, music hitting your heart 'cause I know you got soul!”

During Discograffiti’s 3-hour interview, Jon spills the beans on:

The very first rock concert he ever attended;
The show he ranks as his all-time favorite;
And his number 1 album of all time.

If you’re an Jon Wurster superfan like me, you’ll want the Director’s Cut of this episode—it features 55 minutes of essential additional material & no ads, as well as a rundown of a number of live records not included in the free cut.
