Peres Jepchirchir – Women’s Marathon Champion

Valarie Allman – Women’s Discus Throw

- Best Mark: 69.48m (5th round)

- Background: Two-time Olympic champion earns her first world title.

Tara Davis-Woodhall – Women’s Long Jump

- Best Jump: 7.13m

- Performance: Took the lead with 7.08m on her first attempt and sealed it with 7.13m in round four.
