Episode 311: Social Media Cleanse

Episode 311: Social Media Cleanse

I deleted all social media apps from my phone, the results are shocking. I have found that I am more present around loved ones, less anxious and irritated, and have greater stores of energy.

The peace found from purging my phone has reduced my screen time from 6.5 hours to barely 2 hours of screen time, resulting in clearer thought processes, mental peace and increased willingness to socialize. I decided to embark on this change as I was experiencing physical pain from using my phone all day, mental fatigue from constant consumption and seeing the negative effects this consumption has had on my peers.

Currently, all social media platforms I exist on are accessed by my computer. I have not deleted any accounts, just changed how and where I access them. I decided to make the internet a place again, rather than an all encompassing experience.
