Hello and welcome to Sinister the true crime podcast where we discuss the nitty gritty details of the world’s most notorious crimes and general mysteries.

In today's episode we're talking about the torturous murder of Anita Cobby after a group of five abducted her.

Anita was walking home from Blacktown train station on the 2nd of February 1986 when a gang of five men (John Travers, Michael Murdoch, Michael Murphy, Gary Murphy and Leslie Les Murphy) abducted and assaulted her.

After the torturous abuse she endured by the gang they murdered her with a knife and attempted to conceal the evidence.

Part two follows the police investigation and proceeding court case.
