003 A Horrifying Tragedy: The Fujisawa Mother and Daughter Family Massacre – A Story of Betrayal, Revenge, and Unimaginable Loss (1981-1982) - Japanese True Crime

The core motivation behind the killings was F's belief that "traitors should be eliminated". This logic drove him to kill X, and later the mother and daughters who rejected him. The court noted that even if F felt slighted by the victims, his decision to kill was "hasty and selfish" with no mitigating circumstances, and the acts were premeditated and brutal. The Fujisawa mother and daughters were A (16 years old), B (13 years old), and C (45 years old). The father, D, was not home at the time but expressed immense grief and a desire for revenge. Y (19 years old) became F's accomplice in the Fujisawa murders but was later killed by F in Amagasaki due to F's fear of betrayal. The entire legal process, from the initial arrest to the death penalty confirmation, took 16 years. F initially withdrew his appeal, leading to a legal battle over its validity due to his unstable mental state. He was eventually executed in 2007.
