The Russell vs Mercedes saga is heating up and whilst there seemingly HAS been progress...it's gotten very technical. Yes, Toto Wolff has publicly promised Kimi Antonelli a seat for 2026...verbally. On Italian TV. For now, it's not signed, sealed and delivered. Meanwhile, George Russell has gone from pushing for a multi-year deal to being offered a single-season extension with no conditions...yep. He's being given the Valtteri Bottas treatment.

Without a deal done, Russell could walk...and Mercedes risk losing their proven leader at the very moment sponsors and car development need stability most. Is either party right to drag this out?
