Dr. Alex McDonald: A Family Physician's Perspective

If you listened to our last Fighting for Family Medicine episode, you heard Alex McDonald, M.D., FAAFP, talk with David Tully about how his involvement in the AAFP's advocacy efforts led to his election to the local school board.

In this episode, Dr. McDonald, who is president-elect of the California AFP, talks with Emily Holwick about his family medicine journey, including his role as a media ambassador for the AAFP. He discusses how his participation in the Academy has shaped his career. He also covers his work on the 'This is our shot' COVID-19 vaccine campaign. Dr. McDonald is the convener for this year's National Conference of Constituency Leaders (NCCL), which is April 18-20 in Kansas City, Mo. Registration is open now.
