MacVoices #23255: MacVoices Live! - Everyone Blames Everyone Else (2)

The discussion of other tech companies blaming Apple continues as Chuck Joiner, David Ginsburg, Brian Flanigan-Arthurs, Jim Rea, Eric Bolden, Web Bixby, Mark Fuccio, and Ben Roethig look at Apple's pricing structure and its impact on developers, focusing on the 15% commission for those earning under a million dollars. Spotify is having some financial struggles but seem to be refusing to take responsibility. The conversation shifts to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella's complaint about Bing's inability to compete with Google. Bing is Windows' default search engine, but Chrome is dominant. If Chrome were available on iOS,it would it have a significant impact? The panel also explores Apple's involvement in advertising through deals with Yelp and TripAdvisor and speculate on their business strategy. (Part 2)
