This podcast for the Neurology Journal begins and closes with Dr. Robert Gross, Editor-in-Chief, briefly discussing highlighted articles from the print issue of Neurology. In the second segment Dr. Ted Burns interviews Dr. Jeff Frank about his paper on practice variability in brain death determination. Dr. Roy Strowd is reading our e-Pearl of the week about prion protein problems. In the next part of the podcast Dr. Elliot Dimberg interviews Dr. Janice Massey on part one of the orientation of new processes to the Maintenance of Certification. The participants had nothing to disclose except Drs. Burns, Strowd and Massey.Dr. Burns serves as Podcast Editor for Neurology; and has received research support for consulting activities with CSL Behring and Alexion Pharmaceuticals.Dr. Strowd serves on the editorial team for the Neurology Resident and Fellow Section.
