141. Going Backwards in Life

141. Going Backwards in Life

For many people, life can feel like a travelator; they progress and move forward, collecting things such as degrees and jobs, buying houses, getting married, and having kids. They form a timeline of so-called "success" that has been dictated by societal expectations and conditioning. But then a life change happens.

This week, I explain why it is easy to fall into the trap of viewing certain life changes as negative but why none of it ever means you've gone backwards. I show you how to question what you are making these situations mean about you, a powerful tool you can use when you feel like you've regressed in life due to a change in circumstances, and how to start thinking about life changes in a different way.
