079 - Self Awareness

"See yourself through the eyes of others"

Property Entrepreneurs, ladies and gentlemen, this is going to be an interesting one for you!

"I don't need to listen to this podcast because I'm already self aware", well, Harvard did a study of 5,000 people to see who thought they had good self awareness and who actually did, and unsurprisingly, 95% of respondents felt they had a good level of self awareness.

However, when psychometrically appraised, the result was that only 8%-12% of the respondents actually had a degree of self awareness, not the 95% who thought they had.

In this podcast, I'm going to introduce you to the concept of self awareness, how to start tuning in to get a higher degree of self awareness, why having a high level of self awareness is not necessarily a good thing, and what the definition of self awareness is in a personal development piece.

I personally believe self awareness is one of the highest value character traits we can hold as individuals, entrepreneurs, high performers, but the reality is all you need to do is walk around your day to day life and look at the masses to realise in society high self awareness is a very, very rare trait, skill and practice.
