255: Test Your Genes, Understand Your Body

255: Test Your Genes, Understand Your Body

In 1990, the Human Genome Project began, and by 2003, roughly 20,000 human genes had been sequenced. This is exciting, but it's also just the first step. How can we use this data to understand human health, longevity and wellness? What can our genetics tell us about our proclivity for certain activities and our susceptibility for certain illnesses? On this week's Yoga Talk Show, you'll meet Naturopath, Bob Miller, who will help you decode the code that is your genetic heritage.

------------
Listen & Learn:

  • Why genetic testing is the future of medicine
  • How you're making and using antioxidants
  • Genetics: code for enzymes which are the worker bees of the body
  • How to get started with testing your DNA
