Was he trying to escape? That's the question today after a 400-pound gorilla at the San Diego Zoo went on a rampage slamming into the glass partition so hard... It shattered! Families at the zoo were understandably afraid for their safety. You'd think President Trump would be happy about this... he’s on the cover of Time magazine... With the headline "His Triumph" - referring to brokering the peace deal in The Middle East. But he's giving it thumbs down. AI prank warning! You've heard about all sorts of ways AI technology is being used... But it comes with a warning. Many on social media are using AI to prank their families making it look like someone is inside their home. Now cops are saying, fake images are sometimes leading to real problems. It's being called death in apartment 603. There are major developments today in the case of the teacher found dead with more than 20 stab wounds. The medical examiner ruled it a suicide. If you traveled over the holiday weekend, chances are it was far from stress-free. Across the country, thousands of flights were canceled and delayed as millions were trying to get home from their Christmas vacations - and as Jim Moret reports, many are still struggling to get home. And the severe winter weather added to the travel nightmare. Winds and fierce blizzard conditions affected hundreds of millions of Americans and nowhere was the weather more destructive than in Buffalo. Total white-out conditions left motorists stranded on the roads and taking refuge anywhere they could - even hunkering down in the local Target. Plus, there are only four days left to 2022, and at the crossroads of the world, Times Square, they're already planning for the big ball drop. Sibila Vargas got a sneak peek. And he's being called Congress' talented Mr. Ripley... Republican Congressman-elect George Santos is being accused of fabricating major portions of his resume. It's a big deal since he could help Republicans gain a majority in the house. Now he's breaking his silence admitting he wasn't entirely truthful - but despite calls for him to resign, he says he's not going anywhere. Polar vortex, Arctic express - you can call the intense cold blanketing the United States anything you want…but do take it seriously. Even the president is speaking out about the once in a generation frigid weather enveloping America. And it was a history making speech in Washington…Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressing a joint session of Congress, thanking America for its support and asking for more help. Les Trent with a look at the extraordinary security that made the trip possible. Plus, this weekend will make six weeks since those four University of Idaho college students were brutally murdered. It also marks the 26th anniversary of the unsolved murder of little JonBenet Ramsey. Her father fears history will repeat if they don’t get experienced detectives on the case. And ‘tis the season to be shopping, and sometimes that means you need to deal with customer service. However, as Ann Mercogliano reports…dealing with customer service and getting an actual human being aren't always the same thing. If you've been dreaming of a white Christmas, you may get your wish…and if it's cold you want, that's definitely happening. The Arctic blast meteorologists have been forecasting has hit the Pacific Northwest...and the polar express is headed across the plains to the east. And even before the run on stores from the storm, if you've got a sick child, you've probably already had trouble finding cold medicine. However, as Ann Mercogliano reports…there may be a solution to all those empty shelves. Plus, it's a missing persons case with a lot of troubling questions. 11-year-old Madelina was last seen just before Thanksgiving…but she wasn’t reported missing until last week! Now both her mother and stepfather are facing charges…and no one knows what happened to their little girl. And it was a lifelong dream of a man abandoned as a baby. That one day, he would find his birth family. Fortunately, he's had a long life - because at the age of 90, that dream has now come true.    To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. Store parking lots are packed right now with last minute holiday shoppers...and that’s why our first story today comes with a warning. A great grandmother was hit by someone backing out of a parking spot leading to her and her three-year-old great granddaughter being pinned under the car. And chances are you're looking forward to seeing relatives over the holidays…but you might want to rethink your travel plans. A massive Arctic blast is sweeping across the country with all of the lower 48 seeing freezing temperatures. Places haven't been this cold at Christmas in 40 years. The day after Harvey Weinstein was found guilty in California of rape on the claims of one accuser, another one of his accusers, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, is lashing out at the disgraced movie producer's legal team saying they ridiculed her. She’s the wife of the governor of California who says he's proud of her and the other brave women who spoke up. The jury ended up deadlocked on the claims Siebel Newsom made. And it was a festive office Christmas party with co-workers exchanging fun gifts. However, one lady ended up walking away with a surprise that, as Les Trent tells us, turned out to be anything but a white elephant! There's a reason they ask you to keep your seatbelts fastened while on a plane, and the passengers on a Hawaiian Airlines flight are well aware of it. Dozens were injured, eleven seriously, when the plane hit intense turbulence. So what else can you do to protect yourself - especially if you're holding a baby.  Here's Les Trent. And does it seem like everyone you know is sick right now? That's because they probably are, which means keeping healthy will be a real challenge this holiday. Our new reporter Sibila Vargas has some tips on how to do just that. Plus, there will be no Christmas this year for the families of the four slain University of Idaho students - an attorney representing one of them tells us they are just too grief-stricken. Meantime, as Ann Mercogliano reports, new video from the night of the murders shows two of the victims talking about a mystery man named Adam. And more headlines for Tesla founder and Twitter owner Elon Musk. Over the weekend he asked Twitter users if he should step down - 17 million responded, and now the results are in. Meantime, the guy Musk claimed had followed a car carrying his young son is speaking out. He says he's an Uber Eats driver, and is no stalker. 90 million packages are being shipped every day until Christmas...and at postal service hubs they're as busy as Santa's elves! There are lots more packages coming because tomorrow is “Super Saturday”…a massive day for final Christmas shopping. And for the family of Ken DeLand Jr. it must feel like a Christmas miracle. The foreign exchange student who vanished more than two weeks ago in France has now turned-up safe. Plus, it's not quite a needle in a haystack, but police in Idaho are sifting through 22,000 motor vehicle records to find the white Hyundai that may be connected to the murder of four college students. As Ann Mercogliano reports, they believe it could be critical to their investigation. And the Harry and Meghan docuseries is the number one show on Netflix, despite some pretty strong headlines denouncing it. The royal family officially is not commenting on the show. However, Princess Diana's former butler is - and you may be surprised by what he has to say.
