So many adults and teens are experiencing trauma right now and Ronnie herself tells us about her own healing process. We’re talking about how to turn your pain into your purpose and how to choose yourself. Websites: www.familyroomla.com IG: https://www.instagram.com/familyroomla/ Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ronnie-vehemente-66816240/ Guest Bio: Ronnie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who trained at Columbia University School of Social Work. She has over 25 years of experience counseling expecting & new moms, parents, children & families & worked in various inpatient and outpatient programs including Children's Hospital Los Angeles, LAC+USC Medical Center, The Pump Station and Mount Sinai Hospital New York. The Family Room is what Ronnie calls her psychotherapy practice, focusing on the challenges of pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, marriage & family life. Grateful for the life changing gift of being in therapy during different parts of her life, she wanted to give back. To hold, to guide, to give voice to those she works with during their most vulnerable moments, to be witness to and be inspired by their resilience. Fueled by a history in child development, maternal mental health, and a long standing therapeutic Mommy & Me program at Los Angeles’ beloved Pump Station, Ronnie offers therapy for individuals, couples, families and groups around maternal mental health, parenting, kids and teens, family life, life transitions, depression, anxiety, trauma & grief. While her specialty is in maternal mental health & parenting, currently, her additional focus is also offering space for people of all ages to process their emotions and concerns, provide coping tools & work toward building resilience during this pandemic. The Family Room is for real people, in real life.
