In the overwhelming torrent of information, truth, and the insight and purpose that comes from truth, appears as a feeble and flickering flame, ill-equipped to survive the barrage of irrelevant and extraneous detail, the oxygen poor medium of social media, amidst a tidal wave of falsity and ignorance. As the quantity of information and misinformation grows exponentially, we are becoming less, not more, adept at finding the signal within the noise. And two essential elements are becoming lost – strategy and empathy. An exponential glut of information is leading to fatigue and nihilism.
