Laban discusses his relationship with his daughter and how she got her learner's permit. It makes him nervous not being in control, but he is excited to see her drive. I talk about my amazing history as a driver, not getting a learners permit until I was 18 because my parents said I had to walk straight without bumping into things before they would allow me to drive a car. I also share how I have been in an accident or totaled every car I’ve owned. Laban shares his own story of falling asleep at the wheel. We know Kenzie will be a much better driver.

Kenzie shares her experience in track this past season. We talk about the state finals in pole vaulting and her 4 by 100 meters relay team finishing 3rd in the state despite initially predicted to finish 9th. Kenzie tells the story about how the team almost was not even able to run because everything is electronic now and one of the runners was not in the system. Nobody could find her name and the officials were not going to allow the team to compete.

Thankfully, everyone came to their senses, found the girls name and their team tore it up. Kenzie shared how the entire situation was emotional, but it also fired her up. The team ran outstanding in the semifinals and finished 3rd in the finals. I think its spectacular for Kenzie to perform so well as a sophomore, especially running the first leg, which is very important.
