Edgar Wallace, from Kent in England, was such a prolific writer of detective thriller pulp fiction it got him published in Italy and given the sweet job of developing the 1933 King Kong movie. He earned his writing chops as a war correspondent and was beloved of readers all over the world. His writing philosophy seemed to be 'grab 'em by the throat and keep 'em guessing'.
