We give scientific evidence (really though). -We talk about our personal experiences of school spirit and they're about as different as can be. -SHIA LEBEOUF. He has such a beautiful baby face. -Head cheerleader: Too controlling or awesome? -The newbies are over Cindy. Also, we don't understand how the popular guy asked her out? -Sam and Nick have more similarities than we realized. -Favorite scenes -Favorite lines -We quickly discuss how Freaks and Geeks really isn't that quotable of a show. (But that's not a bad thing!) Freaks and Geeks season 1, episode 10, "The Diary": -Is Lindsey stupid or something? -We don't understand why Kim's mom never shows any crazy tendencies in this episode. Even with the revelation that she reads Kim's diary. -As with school spirit, we give our personal experiences with diaries. -Are Lindsey's parents actually happy, though? Are they still happy? -Some of us didn't have to deal with team captains and picking teams. -Apparently not everyone has to take P.E. every day? You rock that guitar, Mr. Rosso. -We're not the fake ID types and we're totally okay with that. -The ladies give Jack the low-down on SATs, ACTs, and why you can't just slack off during your senior year of high school. -Lindsey's skewed view of herself/identity crisis really comes into focus in this episode. -This is not Parks and Rec ReWatchable. (Or is it?) -PIT (or Pit?) is real and Kristen explains it all. -John Francis Daley has a great reaction face. -The hosts all agree on their feelings about Nick in this episode. -Favorite scenes -Favorite lines Freaks and Geeks season 1, episode 8, "Girlfriends and Boyfriends": -Interesting points on Lindsey collecting opinions about herself. -Were Lindsey's parents helpful or did they give conflicting opinions/vibes on Lindsey dating Nick? -Caitlin has an "icky feeling" about Nick when he's around Lindsey. -Is Nick taking boyfriend/girlfriend cues from the people around him? Is that why things are so awkward with him? -Jack doesn't like Cindy? You don't say! -The rest of the hosts don't have that strong of an opinion on Cindy. -Kristen's theory is that Cindy is purposefully "friend-zoning" Sam. Innnnnnnnnteresting. -We're definite fans of Gordon. -Favorite scenes -Favorite lines Listener feedback -We get (rightfully) called out about our inconsistency in what we refer to the characters as. He's totes the "chosen one." -How does our view of James Franco taint our view of Daniel as a character? Is he playing a version of James Franco at this point in his career? (BTW, yes, we're all Team James Franco, thank you very much.) -Did Lindsey make a good decision or did the entire situation make us want to shake her? -We tell our stories about the lies we got caught in. Even worse, they were lies that our parents had to get involved with. -Not that we've ever done it, but we know the right way to cheat and Lindsay's way isn't the right way. -James Franco isn't a total d-bag in this episode because he tries to help Sam, even if it wasn't in the best way possible. -The geeks and their storyline is one of our favorite things in this show. This sex ed plot is perfect for them. -We discuss the semantics of labeling the characters "freaks" and "geeks." -We recount our health class and sex ed class experiences (Don't worry, we don't go too much in depth). -Favorite scenes -Favorite lines Freaks and Geeks season 1, episode 6, "I'm With the Band": -Ariana's sass is on point. -Jason Segel isn't an awful drummer, right? Right? -Jason Segel's Nick is Danielle's mock-musician spirit animal. -JOSH FROM HEAVYWEIGHTS. Also, this band could go on tour right now and we'd totally be front row. -Brittany blows our minds while detailing a simple thread/trend that runs through episodes 3-6. -We don't want Jason Segel to become the Gale to Lindsey's Katniss. -Showering in the middle of the day in high school: Is this real life? -Where did the soap, towels, and flip flops come from?
