The Case of AJ Freund
This week, Drewby and Yergy head to the Chicago suburb to discuss the case of 5-eayr-old AJ Freund, and adorable little boy who lost his life at the hands of his mother, Joann Cunningham, and his father, Andrew Freund - his mother's former divorce attorney. Both parents were addicted to drugs and lived in squalor, and two of Joann's ex-partners died of drug overdoses. On the evening of April 15th, 2019, AJ tried to hide a pair of underwear after he soiled himself. As punishment, AJ was forced into a cold shower with the water pointed right at his face, and was beaten to death. His autopsy later showed that he died from massive trauma to the skull and brain that was caused by multiple blunt force trauma to the head. His brain was so swollen part of it swelled into the spinal cord, crushing brain tissue. The Case of Alex Radita
This week, Drewby and Yergy head north to Canada to discuss the tragic case of Alex Radita, a young boy diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes as a toddler. The son of an immigrant family from Romania, Alex was denied his insulin and diabetic testing supplies. His parents, Emil and Rodica Radita, thought prayer would heal him and that he wasn't that sick. They outright refused to believe that Alex actually had diabetes. The Case of Lily Peters

Her murder gained significant attention and media coverage due to the ages of both the victim and the suspect. On April 26, 2022, Lily's cousin, 14-year old Carson Peters-Berger was arrested on charges of murder and sexual assault. Carson was originally publicly identified only by his initials "CPB". The Case of Nubia Barahona
This week, Drewby and Yergy head to south Florida to discuss the case of Nubia Barahona, a 10-year-old girl who was murdered on February 11th, 2011. Her body was found February 14th, 2011, wrapped in a plastic garbage bag in the bed of her adoptive father's pickup truck on the side of I-95 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Her body had partially decomposed from being covered in chemicals, possibly pesticides. Her twin brother, Victor Barahona, was in the cab of the truck with his father, suffering seizures from chemical burns and inhalation of toxic gas. Her adoptive parents Jorge and Carmen Barahona were indicted on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and child neglect on March 23rd, 2011. The case has sparked outrage from Florida citizens and officials regarding the Florida Department of Children and Families' handling of previous allegations of abuse by the Barahonas.
