His mother, Rebecca Haro, claimed she was attacked and knocked unconscious while changing him. When she woke up, baby Emmanuel was gone. But investigators quickly found inconsistencies in her story. No Amber Alert was issued because there was no suspect, no car, no witness. The more detectives pressed, the more questions emerged. Now, the spotlight is on the parents — especially Emmanuel’s father, Jake Haro. Court records show this is not his first time under investigation for a child in danger. Back in 2018, Jake’s infant daughter was hospitalized with devastating injuries: a fractured skull, brain bleed, broken ribs, a leg fracture, and retinal hemorrhages. Doctors said the injuries were not accidental. Jake eventually pled guilty in 2023 to felony child cruelty, receiving probation and a suspended prison sentence. But that wasn’t the end of his record.
