Texarkana is a city in the U.S. state of Arkansas and the county seat of Miller County. The city is located across the state line from its twin city, Texarkana, Texas. The city was founded at a railroad intersection on December 8, 1873, and was incorporated in Arkansas on August 10, 1880   Some people called Texarkana “Little Chicago,” because its location as a railroad hub brought great performers and famous politicians. On Friday 26 November 2010, Yara was gearing up for her rhythmic gymnastics competition the following Sunday.. She spent the day with her family, but had to make a quick trip down the street after dinner. All she needed to do was drop off a stereo with her instructor at the local sports complex, where Yara had walked many times before. She said goodbye to her family, who knew where she was going, and left the house on foot at 5.15pm. The Sports complex was less than half a mile from her home.
