In this inspiring new episode of The 1 Girl Revolution Podcast, listeners are introduced to the incredible Jennifer Jackson, founder of The DRE Project - a nonprofit organization that delivers home-cooked meals and groceries to individuals and families in need. Jennifer founded The DRE Project in honor of her sister, Andrea, who passed away but who was (and still is!) a beacon of light to the world. Jennifer wanted to do something to honor her sister’s legacy and after she began delivering meals to individuals and families in need during the COVID lockdown – she decided to turn those deliveries into something bigger and honor her sister in the process. And that’s how The DRE Project was born. Jennifer is an example to all of us that we can all do something to make a difference in the world. Jennifer’s dream job as a kid was to work with her dad’s pizza business (Hungry Howies) and while she achieved that and still works there to this day, she wanted to do more and help others – which started out as buying meals for others and now has turned into this incredible nonprofit mission. We can all do something to make a difference in our communities and in the world. In this episode, you’ll hear: Jennifer’s life story and how she got into the business of pizza; About Jennifer’s life and career; How Jennifer started feeding people in need during the COVID lockdown; About Jennifer’s sister Andrea and how The DRE Project came to be; Stories of people who have been helped by The DRE Project; And so much more.
