But later, in a sealed-records court filing obtained by the Los Angeles Times, an LAPD detective explicitly referred to the case as an “investigation into murder.” That shift in language raises major questions — especially since the entire autopsy, toxicology, and cause of death were ordered sealed under a “security hold” requested by LAPD. Add to this the conflicting narratives around the condition of Celeste’s body.
