About our guest:

Graeme Joseph Isaako Purcell, the multitalented entertainer hailing from Sydney, discovered his ardor for the performing arts amidst his upbringing in Auckland, New Zealand, nurtured by a musically inclined family. With an innate talent for singing, dancing, and acting, he embarked on his journey at a young age, debuting impressively in Cameron Mackintosh’s Oliver! as Dipper at just 13. His dedication led him through training at Janice Breen Performance Studios Sydney and Urban Dance Centre, where he showcased his prowess as a Top 6 contestant in the inaugural season of So You Think You Can Dance Australia. Despite rising success, Graeme took a hiatus from the industry to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the New Zealand Wellington Mission. Upon his return, he seamlessly re-entered the entertainment sphere, gracing stages as a backup dancer for esteemed artists such as Timomatic, Jessica Mauboy, and Ricky Martin, while also making appearances on notable TV shows like X Factor and The Voice. His career soared further as he joined the ensemble of Disney’s The Lion King Australian Tour, understudying the role of Adult Simba. In the last 3 and a half years, Graeme embarked on a whirlwind journey alongside his wife and two children, captivating audiences across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore in the coveted role of Aladdin in Disney’s Aladdin the Musical.
