chaos, NHL '94 Fighting ROM Released!

Witness the legendary "Lost Feature" of NHL '94 finally come to life! In this video, we showcase the incredible work by chaos to restore fighting into the Sega Genesis version of NHL '94.

Using code snippets from NHLPA '93, chaos has spent over 1,000 hours meticulously re-coding the game's engine to allow players to drop the gloves once again. This video provides a direct look at the smooth integration of the fighting mechanics, the impact of checks leading to brawls, and how the game handles the transition from the ice to the fight screen.

If you grew up playing the original and always felt something was missing, this ROM hack is the ultimate realization of what NHL '94 was meant to be. This project is a testament to the dedication of the retro gaming community and the hard work required to preserve and improve classic titles.

Key Features Shown:

Engine Restoration: Real-time demonstration of the fight engine integrated into the '94 codebase.
NHLPA '93 Influence: See how the classic brawling style from '93 has been ported and polished.
Technical Milestone: A look at the results of 1000+ hours of reverse engineering and assembly programming.
