Helping Women Navigate the Financial Industry with Debra Morrison

After a visit to the New York Stock Exchange, Debra Morrison, CFP®, MS, AEP, CertLGBTBE, knew that she wanted to take part in the excitement of our industry. At the age of 21, Debra started her career and her agency, and has been an advocate for women to empower them to gain confidence in the financial industry.

Debra answers the questions about women struggling to find their voice in their finances, being irrational and the emotions women face when entering the financial conversation. After giving pro bono financial planning and asset management service to 8 widows, 1 widow and a 12-yr old orphan after the 9/11 tragedy, Debra obtained her Grief Coach Certification. She dovetailed financial and grief recovery coaching into her Amazon best selling book, My Husband Died Now What? A Widow’s Guide to Grief Recovery & Smart Financial Decisions.

She is expert at unwinding emotions from money, cutting to the salient facts, and explaining winning investment strategies using easy-to-understand everyday analogies. And she does so with generous helpings of humor, motivating audiences to feel empowered about their finances, regardless of their life circumstances. She coaches women to be intentional about living and smelling the flowers, knowing first-hand that life is not a dress rehearsal. She speaks of her 2 most important assets as TIME & HEALTH and encourages investors to use money as a TOOL to enhance their lives.
