Building a Strong Foundation for Your Wealth Management Firm

Joining me today is Chip Munn, the Managing Partner at Signature Wealth Group.

Chip opens up the conversation about his career beginnings as a sixth grade English teacher, and his journey to becoming the Managing Partner of his firm.

We talk about what goes into building the foundation of a firm, the basis method, and the ups and downs of finding the right people for your firm.

Chip and I also dive into the future of his firm and where he plans to be in the next five years within the wealth management industry.

We learn from those around us within our community, and Chip is leading our community. He shares insights and knowledge to better ourselves, our firms, and increase our impact on the industry.

Chip Munn Bio:

Chief Executive Officer, SWG

Senior Wealth Advisor, RJFS

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Clemson University, earning a degree in education, I was selected as an Academic All American by USA Today. Though I began my career as a teacher in a formal education setting, I quickly realized that my teaching skills could translate into a career in wealth management, and I transitioned into finance. Since then, as the CEO and Visionary of Signature Wealth, I've driven the growth of our practice from a small three-person team to a regional wealth management group with 30+ team members thriving in more than 10 local communities.

I live in Florence, SC with my wife, Trish, and our four sons - Christian, Carson, Hampton, and Turner. In the community, We love traveling and are BIG fans of Clemson Football. In the past, I've held board positions with the Florence Family YMCA, The School Foundation and the McLeod Health Foundation. I’m passionate about and proud of the growth of our Florence and support it any way that I can.
