The Dancing Plague

In the summer of 1518, the streets of Strasbourg, Alsace, bore witness to an inexplicable dance that gripped the townsfolk, as scores of individuals succumbed to a relentless and mysterious compulsion to move. With whispers of demonic possession, tainted bread, and the ominous spectre of St. Vitus, the town became ensnared in a dance of enigma and dread, that reportedly lead many to dance themselves to death.
