S2 EP 26: Overflow and Philanthropic Spending

S2 EP 26: Overflow and Philanthropic Spending

In this episode of the Omega Podcast, we are thrilled to welcome Vance Roush, the visionary Founder and CEO of Overflow, a pioneering partner in Silicon Valley dedicated to fostering a culture of global generosity. Vance's leadership at Overflow is driven by a profound mission: to revolutionize the way charitable giving is approached and executed.

Overflow is at the forefront of enhancing charitable contributions by providing a platform that allows Nonprofits, Foundations, Churches, and Corporations to seamlessly accept non-cash assets, including stocks and cryptocurrencies. This innovative approach is particularly significant given that a staggering 90% of wealth is held in non-cash assets. Despite this reality, many organizations still predominantly focus on cash fundraising, which limits their potential for growth and impact. Overflow seeks to disrupt this traditional model, empowering organizations to tap into a broader spectrum of giving.

Beyond his role at Overflow, Vance is deeply committed to the nonprofit sector, serving as a board member for various organizations that align with his values and vision. He is also a founding member of VIVE Church, where he contributes his expertise and passion for community building. Vance's background in technology is impressive; he has honed his skills and knowledge through experiences with industry giants like Google, where he gained invaluable insights into innovation and digital solutions.

On a personal note, Vance resides in Silicon Valley with his wife, Kim, and their four children: Lennox, Emerson, Tatum, and Wesleigh Dior. Together, they embody a family dedicated to making a positive impact in their community and beyond.

Join us as we dive into a conversation with Vance Roush, exploring the transformative potential of non-cash giving, the future of philanthropy, and the inspiring journey that led him to create Overflow. Whether you're a nonprofit leader, a philanthropist, or simply someone interested in the power of generosity, this episode promises to be enlightening and motivating.
