Core 52: Set Apart
This week begins a new mini-series called Set Apart in our Core 52 study. Think of this core 52 study as a Bible buffet. Truly all you can eat. The last four weeks we went through creation, our identity in Christ, the Fall of Man, and the covenant that God has made with us through His Son Jesus. 4 Core values, 4 core principles that are part of the foundation of our faith. Each week throughout this series we will continue to add items to the buffet. The Apostle Peter writes in 1 Peter 2:2-3 that we are to be Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. Once we taste the spiritual food that God is offering us then we will crave more and more of this food that brings nourishment to our spiritual bodies while it guides and directs our minds and physical bodies in this world. And this is one buffet that you will never walk, or waddle away from feeling bloated and miserable. This buffet will add a spring to your step. It will place a song in your heart. Joy in your soul. It will allow you to see the world through God’s eyes and see and love people the way that God does. This is one of the ways that Jesus fulfills a promise to us. It is one of the means by which we can begin to experience life and life to the fullest!
This week we want to ask you one simple question. Has God set you apart?
