This podcast dives into the world of work, careers, and life for Adoptees, Foster Care Alumni, our allies, parents, child welfare professionals, policy experts, and all within the Adoptee and Foster's orbit.

This episode features Dr. Abigail Hasberry and we learn about her incredible journey both as a transracial Black Adoptee, but also as a birth mom who felt she had no choice but to relinquish her child for adoption. We also dive into her new memoir, “Adopting Privilege”, where she shares the complexities and intersectionality of her identities, and the painful and complicated experiences of her own adoption, and her experience with her first child whom she relinquished. We also talk about mental health for our larger community, and as a practitioner, what Dr. Abby wants us to think about and understand about adoption and relinquishment trauma and the lifelong impact of adoption.
