Delusional Optimism

Delusional Optimism

What if the very thing people call “delusional”… is actually discipline?

In this episode, I talk about choosing optimism on purpose. Not because everything is perfect. Not because life has slowed down. But because I’ve decided that my perspective matters more than my circumstances.

Love has felt elusive. Life has felt full. The past five years have been a storm of caregiving, grief, growth, and rebuilding. And this last year? It’s felt like standing in the eye of it all — learning how to stay centered while everything moves around me.

I share what balance really looks like in this season. The belief I’m releasing about my capacity. The grace I’m choosing instead. And the soul question that’s sitting heavy on my heart: How do you feel about your relationship with your mother?

I also talk about what delusional optimism has actually gotten me in life — the doors it’s opened, the resilience it’s built, the risks it’s made me brave enough to take, and the way it has carried me through seasons that logic alone could not.

This episode is about faith that looks irrational. Peace that doesn’t require perfection. And the kind of optimism that builds the life you can’t yet see.

If you only remember one thing: Balance isn’t stillness. It’s choice.
