Knowing Context (by Prof. James Lee) - Acts 2:29-47

This Sunday, we had the privilege of listening to Professor James Lee of Biola University preach on understanding the reasons as to how and why we strive to be a Christ-centered community. It's laid out for us in this specific passage here in Acts 2--in the New Testament church, we see Jesus's newly spirit-filled disciples devote themselves to one another, breaking bread with them from house to house and eating joyfully with sincere hearts. Why is that? That's because Jesus was the Messiah that died for our sins and rose from the dead, which allowed them to glorify Him through their lives and worship, and to truly live for Christ meant genuine repentance.
