ENCORE: She Left Her Nursing Job and Built a Six-Figure Practice

What does it actually take to walk away from the security of a nursing job and bet on yourself?

She shares how she launched her practice by simply connecting with people — reaching out to former oncology colleagues, attending networking events, and showing up consistently without the pressure to sell. That visibility led to one-on-one clients, a partnership with a nonprofit survivorship program for cancer patients, and eventually a six-week burnout prevention program she co-developed for oncology healthcare providers.

Shawne also gets real about the harder parts: learning to receive support, balancing a growing practice with new motherhood, and how the same delegation skills nurses use at the bedside translate directly into building a business.
