Here are Emily's Magic Ingredients For Difficult Conversations

1. Get In-tune with your emotions and identify the outcome you want from the difficult conversation.

2. Don't catastrophize and imagine the worst possible outcome of an action. We can't predict another persons reaction.

3. Be assertive in delivering your message. Demonstrate you are confident in why you are having the conversation and what you are asking for.

4. Be clear and concise when delivering the message. If you need help, use this template

"I feel <insert emotion> ...
when <insert specific example> ...
...and I would appreciate <insert the change you want to see>."
