Bringing Your Artistic Side to Earth Day | 2026 Pallets in the Park

On this episode of Along the Rock, host Emma Watts is joined by Ana Smith, Director of the Lowell Park Nature Center, to talk about the exciting return of Pallets in the Park, a creative and community-driven Earth Day celebration.

After a hiatus, this unique event is back and bigger than ever, inviting individuals, families, and local businesses to decorate wooden pallets as a way to showcase creativity while celebrating nature. From artistic expression to environmental awareness, this event brings the Sauk Valley community together in a fun and meaningful way.

🌎 What to Expect:

• Decorated pallet displays from community members and businesses
• Local vendors include: sourdough, mushrooms, lemonade, and more
• Live music and craft vendors
• A full Earth Day celebration in a beautiful outdoor setting

📅 Event Details:
Event: Pallets in the Park
Date: April 22 (Earth Day)
Location: Lowell Park
Display Area: Pine tree circle near the park entrance

🚗 After the event, visitors can drive through the park to view all of the decorated pallets on display.
