An Earth Day Celebration at the Twin City Farmers Market! | Crafts, Produce and More!

On this episode of Along the Rock, host Emma Watts sits down with Lori VanOosten from the Twin City Farmers Market to talk all about the exciting return of the outdoor market season and their Earth Day celebration.

The outdoor market officially opens on April 25 from 8:00 a.m. to noon in downtown Sterling, bringing together a full lineup of vendors, fresh produce, handmade goods, and delicious food. This year’s kickoff event is packed with family-friendly fun, including a petting zoo from PNC Little Rascals and free seed packet giveaways featuring native grasses and flowers.

With nearly 50 vendors expected, this is one of the biggest and most exciting days of the season. From fresh fruits and vegetables to baked goods, coffee, international cuisine, and unique handmade items, there is something for everyone. The market also features a strong indoor vendor presence year-round, making it a must-visit destination no matter the season.

Lori also shares details about upcoming events throughout the year, including a back-to-school celebration and a Halloween trick-or-treat event to close out the outdoor season.

In addition, the market continues its commitment to accessibility through SNAP benefits and a program that helps double purchasing power for fresh food, making it easier for families to shop local and eat well.
